Global Security

Partnership for Global Security has two forms of internships (Research and Communications).

PGS Research Assistants will primarily focus on researching nuclear security, nuclear energy, and transnational governance issues. Current research projects that interns will support include: exploring the nexus of climate change, nuclear power growth and global security; understanding the growth of nuclear energy in the Middle East and East Asia; tracking the evolution of nuclear security policies and governance structures; using existing voluntary frameworks as a model for nuclear security governance structures; and examining cybersecurity and other potential threats prompted by new technology developments.

This internship is an excellent opportunity to assist a recognized non-governmental organization with an ambitious, forward-looking agenda. The intern will work closely with PGS staff and gain experience in research, writing, editing, event planning, coalition building, and communicating about nuclear security, nuclear power, and transnational governance issues.

The communications internship is an excellent opportunity to assist a recognized non-governmental organization with an ambitious, forward-looking agenda. The intern will work closely with PGS staff and its professional communications consultant and will gain an understanding of how a small nonprofit organization operates. The successful candidate will be able to contribute to the new PGS communications strategy and help develop its relationships with external stakeholders.
